The Future of Technology
Most people remember watching the Back to the Future movies. Michael J. Fox traveling on a hoverboard was a scene that was out of this world. What seemed like something out of fiction could possibly be a reality someday.
Here is a news clip from ABC News about a hoverboard used in a commercial for Lexus.
Technology is constantly evolving. Large cellphones and floppy disks are considered by some Generation Z citizens as relics from a distant past. However, that distant past was not so long ago. Remember when payphones and Blockbuster stores were popular in our society. Now they are obsolete. Smart devices and video streaming services have become the trendy items in our lives. These items most used by Generation Z citizens will one day become relics as well. The children of Generation Z citizens will use smart devices that are only concepts right now. Technology will continue to move at a lightning speed pace. Advancements in technology will benefit such areas as science, engineering, and media. Diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s could one day find a cure. Robots could be used to assist doctors in the operating room. Artificial intelligence and virtual reality could change the way the public consumes news and entertainment programs. Technology is not going to wait for us to catch up. We must be able to adapt to the constant advancements in technology.
